Volvo V60 Plug-In Hybrid Combines the Best of Many Worlds

Secor Volvo thinks most consumers would agree in saying that when it comes to purchasing a new vehicle, the more options the better. This phenomenon is largely true because people are different. Plain and simple. The needs of one consumer vary vastly from those of another. Keeping this idea in mind, the ingenious auto crafters at Volvo have come up with a highly-advanced model that offers three completely different driving options in one beautifully-designed body: the Volvo V60 Plug-In Hybrid.

Unlike most automakers who offer eco-friendly models without the power or the performance without the green, Volvo delivers a muscle, an electric and a hybrid persona all in the V60. How is this so? Allow Secor Volvo to explain. Given a 2.4-liter, 5-cylinder turbo diesel, the engine alone will churn out an impressive output of 215-hp and 325-lb./ft. of torque. Add in the 70-hp, 147-lb./ft. provided by the electric motor and you're talking enough punch to make any non-hybrid performance model quake. Depending on drive environment and mood, V60 owners can choose between three modes: pure, hybrid and power.

What's more, Volvo officials have estimated the model's charge time to be as little as 3.5 hours using a 16-amp line. Pretty impressive considering competitors can require up to 9. Taking all this into consideration, the Volvo V60 hybrid is truly seems to combine the best of many new Volvo models into one. For now, the model is scheduled to arrive first in various Nordic markets. Be sure to stay tuned to Secor Volvo at 575 Broad St. New London, CT 06320 for more information as it is released.
